“It’s all right to love someone who doesn’t love you back, as long as they’re worth you loving them. As long as they deserve it.”

My mom in her ultimate wisdom…

typewritertardis:

My mom has a problem with the Infernal Devices and Mortal Instruments books. And do you know what this problem is?

There are vampires in them.

Yeah, that’s why my mom rolls her eyes when I talk about Will Herondale. Well, OK, maybe not the only reason, but still!

Mom, there are other [insert complimenting adjective here: ex. better, cooler, sweeter, nicer, awesomer, less sparkly] vampires out there!

Top three romantic lines in modern literature.

1) James Carstairs (Infernal Devices - "Clockwork Prince"): "I had always thought one could not be truly lost if one knew one’s own heart. But I fear I may be lost without knowing yours."

2) Jasper Whitlock (Twilight Saga - "Eclipse"): “You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.”

3) Jace Herondale (Mortal Instruments - "City of Fallen Angels"): I don't want to want anyone but you, I will love you until I die, and then if there is a life after that, I'll love you then

Harry, you’re my hero
My everlasting childhood
From Quirrel to Tom Riddle
You never questioned being good.

Jace, I really love you
You’re an angel in the flesh
To love is not to destroy
Killing demons is your quest.

Eragon, I wish I were you
With a dragon, magic, and power
WIth Saphira and Brisingr at your side
Your enemies can only cower.

Percy, you’re a god in my book
Immortal till the end
Prince of all the oceans
On whom Olympus always depends.

Bella, you’re a lucky girl
Being fought over by two hot guys
Your in-laws are intriguing;
that’s why everybody buys.

Frodo, just be strong
This is no hobbit feast
Beat the ring, destroy it
and bring Saurron to his feet.

Tessa, my heart aches for you
They’re both absolutely perfect
You wear Downworlder pride on your sleeve;
the good in you reflects.

Katniss, you’ve got rotten luck
But you were never truly brought down
Your arrows always shooting straight and true
The Mockingjay saved more than just the town.

Artemis, you’re a brainiac
And you’re always a step ahead of the game
Boy genius, Butler, and fairy cop;
the team that won before it came.

Yelena, you’ve tried your best
With the horrible past that you had
Learning to fight and use magic
Makes you more good than bad.

Readers, I am one of you
and want this poem spread around;
Escape from reality, read a book…
they’ll never let you down.
